- Promoting overseas development and acquisition of strategically important natural resources to Japan
- Maintaining and improving the international competitiveness of Japanese industries

The Representative Office in New York oversees JBIC's operations in the United States (excluding Washington, DC), Canada and 5 Andean countries (Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Republic of Colombia, Republic of Peru, Republic of Bolivia and Republic of Ecuador). To facilitate overall JBIC operations, our office provides the following functions.

The Representative Office in New York welcomes consultation for new JBIC loan needs without limitation to the above mentioned countries we oversee.
